(Really) Inconsequential Quick Links
Posted by Dorkafork *** The only interesting link here, for science geeks only: how mauve changed the world. Includes a link to a patent application made by a refrigerator inventor who later became somewhat well known for something slightly different.* *** I don't care for sports, but I think even non-sports fans will appreciate the tale of Dallas Clark. A commercial for a football video game was aired in which his digital simulacrum was shown being tackled. Thankfully, the makers have apologized and released a more appropriate "Director's Cut". (Watch the original first.) *** Speaking of games, here's a unique online timewaster. At one point, I slipped the surly bonds of earth, and danced the skies on laughter-silvered paws; I chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager rat through footless halls of air. (via the Llamabutchers.) *** One of the weirdest Star Trek: The Next Generation clips ever. * I, um, warped the space time continuum. See comments. The patent is dated 1930. Einstein won a Nobel Prize in 1921, by which time his most famous work was behind him. Unless of course you were referring to Leo Szilard, who later went on to do many interesting things, including getting Einstein to urge Roosevelt to begin research on the atomic bomb. How do you use the skateboard in the hamster game!!!!!?????!! Posted by: Tom at November 30, 2006 12:59 PM Mea culpa. I am Bill's retard monkey co-blogger. Even figuring out how to use the skateboard in an online hamster game is beyond my capabilities. Posted by: dorkafork at November 30, 2006 07:12 PM Actually, even his Nobel was light years after his most important, completed work was done. Not to mention his wife's. Posted by: Tim Tyler at November 30, 2006 11:08 PM if you hit the ground moving forward at a decent speed, the skateboard will allow you to roll for a ways. not really a very effective tactic though. sadly this link has been my favorite indc post to date, wasted way to much time with the game. no one is posting high scores?
