Random Weekend Links*

*** But first, a mini-review of Casino Royale, by me. (The review is by me I mean, I didn't make the movie.)

1) Daniel Craig isn't James Bond. He is just not.
2) Whatever the hell he is, is pretty good.

Casino Royale is better than the last half dozen Bond films combined. (The writing in particular is quite good.) In a way it's similar to the new Battlestar Galactica: different from the original, but really good.

*** I could do this, but I don't want to:

*** Name that tune! (Doesn't really start till about a minute in.)

(both videos from Huderon via Fark.)

Why couldn't you have asked for the tune in the first video? THAT one I know!

It sounds like a Bond movie theme... but what do I know?

It was a command, not a contest. But his answer was pleasing in my sight, so through his offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because he has obeyed me.

Thank you, Dork. That means a lot.

I bumped elbows with Thom Yorke once, at a cafe in New York. When I say 'bumped elbows', I mean that disapointingly literally, because I was too afraid to speak in His presence. I think, though, that some of the genetic material that was on his sleeve, must of moved to my sleeve, and then touched me, after that. Perhaps some of it is still there.

I think that kind of makes me a celebrity.

I liked the new bond. His rougher character seems more realisitic for someone of his talent and background.
