Posted by Bill *** Bill Crawford rounds-up good news from Iraq in NRO. One snippet: Six Iraqi army division headquarters, 26 brigade headquarters and 88 battalions have the lead in their own areas - almost 70 percent of the Iraqi Army, and an increase of five division headquarters, 22 brigade headquarters and 65 battalions since November 2005.
Everyone loves a scary story. Why not try your hand at writing one? With Halloween approaching, we are giving you the chance to give us a scare or two for the holiday. My entry will be about Mark Foley.
Why I am voting Democratic in 2006 He's just doing it to score weekend usage of the Provincetown beach house. UPDATE: And another houseguest for Sullivan. (Profanity warning) Posted by Bill at October 2, 2006 11:33 AM | TrackBack (0) Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: CommentsHis is about Mark Foley because for Bill it's a particularly scary tale of how obscene IM's can become public. oooOOOOOoooo! A cautionary tale. Posted by: dorkafork at October 2, 2006 04:27 PM "Dhimmifork" doesn't rhyme. Loses some of the zip. Posted by: JohnAnnArbor at October 2, 2006 04:47 PM He's an under, and I'm an over. It would only lead to unecessary spats. Posted by: The Commissar at October 2, 2006 04:59 PM Just out of curiousity, does anyone know if Foley was the only congressman pages have been warned about? Have the female pages been warned to watch out for anyone in particular? Seems likely to me, I wonder if pre-emptive action is warranted in other cases also. Posted by: B Moe at October 3, 2006 09:37 AM That Frist-Taliban thing is really depressing. Posted by: JohnAnnArbor at October 3, 2006 10:36 AM You know why Foley doesn't use bookmarks? He likes his pages bent over. Old, bad joke becomes new again. (in a used-car kind of new, but hey, what'dja expect?) I'm just happy to use jokes I can remember (even if I have to swap names around). Posted by: Gekkobear at October 3, 2006 01:24 PM There a many Republicans this year who are fed up with their party's leaders. I don't think most of them will vote for the Stalinists in the Democrat Party, but they may just stay home. The Los Angeles Times ran a story about a guy named John Cox who's already running for the GOP presidential nomination because he want the party to return to it's core conservative values. Cox is scoring points in Iowa, South Carolina and New Hampshire. Check out his TV spots online: www.cox2008.com/video Posted by: NathanTabor at October 5, 2006 11:19 PM I sure hope Republicans don't stay home--stakes are higher than ever. A "Reagan Republican," huh? Sounds good...they seem to be a dying breed of late--about time one ran for higher office.
