Good news for me, I guess. I'm up to like, 3 posts a week. Most of the time one liners.

But I do it for shits and giggles anyway. Maybe I should start writing degrading poems about Goldstein - then the hits will just start rolling in or something.

You suck Bill.

Posted by: Jason at July 6, 2006 11:43 AM

The caveat of course being that posts, while fewer, must be of high quality... :)

Summertime and the bloggin' is easy

Posted by: rbj at July 6, 2006 02:38 PM

This is why group-blogging is better.

This is just proof that the internet holds everything, even excuses for laziness ;)

I love how nearly all of my commenters use little "emoticons" after their insults ...

... because they fear me.

Seriously, I love it.

Posted by: Bill from INDC at July 6, 2006 05:19 PM

Wow! You still have a blog???

Your posts were so infrequent there for a while (except for those weird music thingies), I just figured dorkafork killed you off or something.

Wait. Maybe I am thinking of Stephen Green…

Posted by: jmaster [TypeKey Profile Page] at July 6, 2006 05:32 PM

Wow, I feel much better about not posting everyday on my blog. It's mostly about local politics, so it may not interest everybody.

People, I made the mistake once of insulting one of Bill's IM conversation posts and he came to my blog and made fun of one of my entries. I can't emphasize this enough, you must use emoticons when insulting this man. He is ruthless. The man will do ANYTHING to avenge an insult. If he would stoop as low as commenting on MY blog you can imagine what he'd do to you.

Wasn't Push-Technology supposedly the next big thing once upon a time. In fact it wasn't long before the internet-driven tech bubble burst on Wallstreet.

Predicting tech-trends is like playing the stockmarket.

Posted by: jpm100 at July 7, 2006 05:04 PM

Ah yes, this thing we refer to as 'technology'. Comparatively, if it were a culture being grown in a petri dish, it would be at the stage where the culture had not yet been introduced to the growth medium.

As with all of the monumental changes in the history of our species, decades role by before the true nature of the change is realized.

Having technologies success married to the stock market does not bode well for either. As seen when the bubble burst.

Users are tied one of these locals, 1 Microsoft Way, Redmond Washington or 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, California. Addresses belaying the nature of the beasts lair. Microsoft OS with its minion of ancillary applications. Apple systems socialistic 'peoples' approach. As for the robber barons at those helms, well enough has been said about greedy Bill and psycho Steve.

Behind these front men icons lie server networks forming the backbone of the ISP's and Hosts. Typically running Free BSOD or one of the 'baskin robbins' flavors of lunix. Most supported by staff idolizing 24's now dead Edgar Stiles for a myriad of reasons. But I digress.

PC proliferation occurred so rapidly we are trapped, explicitly entwined with the problem. Global commerce holding us in lock down out of fear of a new ripple in development could throw them off of the gravy train of cyber profits or derail the entire process. They insist a Kb of data requires a US$0.00 payment. Society locked onto email and IM via Cellphone/PDA. Neither willing to give up a micron of territory. Little more than children and their toys, regardless of age and device.

In the following decades we may see a nano based self fueling power cells which may free us from the slavery of fossil fuels. We most assuredly will have audible interaction with devices. We talk, they do, and they get to talk back. About that time you can kiss the Asimov's laws of robotics goodbye and say hello to Cyberdyne Systems Model 000.01. I'm guessing it'll be implantable. The cyber revolution of computerization will then be rounding third and looking towards home plate. So as far as the 'Push' technology goes, oh'ya, it's out there, just not in the form you were thinking.

We may also see many less attractive things. If China grows bored with it's wayward child Taiwan or if the Korea's clash. Then be wary of the bond between Wall street and the Silicon Valley, for a nasty ripple will ensue. The snap on the end of that wet towel will definitely leave a mark.

*note to self*-> don't shower until Wall Street and Silicon Valley leave the locker room.
