Song 2 will never get old. I'm ready to start drinking now.

I've always thought that Filter song was about Columbine, in some ways an endorsement of Columbine.

Great, a drunk and a psychopath are my only two readers.

It's funny, at first I thought it was about a friendly backetball game or something. Then someone told me "No, dude, it's an open letter to Harris and Klebold. Read the lyrics."

I wish I would’ve met you
Now it’s a little late
What you could’ve taught me
I could’ve saved some face
They think that your early ending
Was all wrong
For the most part they’re right
But look how they all got strong
That’s why I say hey man nice shot

Now that the smokes gone
And the air is all clear
Those who were right there
Got a new kind of fear
You’d fight and you were right
But they were just to strong
They’d stick it in your face
And let you smell what they consider wrong
That’s why I say hey man nice, nice shot
What a good shot man
A man
Has gun
Hey man
Have fun
Nice shot
I wish I would’ve met you
I wish I would’ve met you
I’d say
Nice shot

Well, draw your own conclusions.

"In 1995, the rock band Filter had a hit with the song "Hey Man, Nice Shot", which, although not explicitly mentioning Dwyer, was "inspired" by Dwyer's suicide, according to band members. "

Hmm, noe that I look it up it's four years too early anyway.

Lyrics are an eerie fit, though.

Posted by: TallDave at March 28, 2006 10:59 AM

Ah, maybe this was the source of the confusion.

Filter's 2002 album, The Amalgamut, is social commentary with one song (Columind) displaying a disturbing portrayal of the Columbine shooting.
