Quick Links (Multimedia Edition)
Posted by Bill *** I saw Moby at the DC Whole Foods on P Street yesterday. Which was somewhat surprising, until I considered the fact that I was at the Whole Foods, and that's where the fey little neohippie cosmically belongs, somewhere in between the Eco Lips Organic Lip Balm and the granulated kelp condoms. It's sort of like running into Keith Richards at the liquor store, or Paris Hilton at the talentless multimillionaire whore shop. Cell phone photo resolution has a ways to go:
I was torn between harassing him for his remarkably dim politics and telling him that I regard Play as easily one of the top 25 albums of all time. In the end I decided to let well enough alone, lest he berate me for buying chicken.
What is Dick Cheney teaching our children?!
(Nevermind the Halo video, the song is where it's at)
I'm confident that Hicks will make the final five. Browsing their installment-plan organic produce? (It's fun to walk by & chirp 'You know there's not a shred of evidence that pesticides cause anything?') Posted by: beautifulatrocities at February 27, 2006 09:22 AM I do all my groceries at the multimillionaire talentless whore shop; only a stone's throw from my local Whole Foods. Posted by: Ghost of a flea at February 27, 2006 09:23 AM What were you doing at that yuppie granola mart? Browsing their installment-plan organic produce? They gots some good food up in there. I'm particularly enamored with their aisle of 1000 varieties of nuts. Posted by: Bill from INDC at February 27, 2006 09:25 AM I'm particularly enamored with their aisle of 1000 varieties of nuts. Too bad the one here doesn't have that. I went there looking for unshelled nuts there recently. None. Posted by: JohnAnnArbor at February 27, 2006 09:55 AM Oh ha ha ha. There's not a single brand you've ever heard of. You can't even buy Cheerios, you have to get the pineapple-sweetened coconut spelt clods, which doubles as a mulch Posted by: beautifulatrocities at February 27, 2006 09:55 AM PS I like to think of Bjork working with Moby on a song, all the while thinking 'What a fucking wanker!' Posted by: beautifulatrocities at February 27, 2006 09:57 AM You scoff, jeff, but some of those processed brands you crave so much are about akin to eating asbestos. Posted by: Bill from INDC at February 27, 2006 10:02 AM Even better: think of all those veg-heads that have spent years cooking their 24-karat organic vegetables in Teflon - hahahahahahahaha!
