The Little Boy Who Cried Bias
Posted by Bill I made a similar point back in April. Posted by: milowent at November 23, 2005 04:22 PM I think it was part of a brilliant, insidious plot to put X's on people's faces. The fiendish bastards! Posted by: dorkafork at November 23, 2005 07:28 PM Agreed. It is a silly thing. And yet, I seem to recall a Republican ad back in 2000 where the word "Rats" appeared on the screen. Some people went nuts over that. For example, here are 2 Democratic Senators: http://archives.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/09/13/bush.ad/ Posted by: Jay at November 24, 2005 02:54 AM http://thedanreport.blogspot.com/2005/11/cheney-x-revealed.html It's most likely a technical marker. Although a subliminal (or liminal) message sounds much sexier. Posted by: Vaughn D. Taylor at November 24, 2005 07:48 AM I love this press release (http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=57102) by "Team Hollywood" where Kevin Finn says, "The Vice-President is a symbol of the United States, much like the American flag. For CNN to desecrate the image of the Vice President is the same as the Iranians burning the U.S. flag at a rally staged for the whole world via television. It is a slap in the face to all those who serve and have served in the armed forces." Perhaps those liberal media TV folks should consider using a patriotic symbol for their little transitions so they don't come off as a bunch of flag burners? Good stuff indeed. Posted by: Vaughn D.
