*** MoveOn.org petition bends laws of space and time: collects eight BILLION signatures! The organization subsequently issued a press release declaring George Bush the "most worstest President EVER in the history of the UNIVERSE! Times a kajillion!"

*** Ace pens a screenplay that only a Dungeons & Dragons dork could love.

Hey, I didn't say that I love it ...

*** Gorillaz: Dirty Harry. Fantastic album.

*** Malkin has a new book out. Review to follow.

In the meantime, check out her coverage of the NY Times' selective editing of the late Corporal Jeffrey B. Starr's letter home from Iraq:

I still don't get it, though. Is the editorial policy at the NY Times such that you may misrepresent the last letters home of any individual KIA, and dishonor their memory by making them look like whiners and cynics, if only you raise a different argument somewhere else, under another dead soldier's name.

This is somehow acceptable?

Apparently, to the Times editorial staff and the reporter in question, it is.

*** And a mainstream newspaper editorial decrees that Clarence Thomas isn't really black. Jeff Goldstein responds effectively.

If anyone expects the MSM to write positive stories about the Iraq war, please, don't hold your breadth. As Ralph Peters has said, if at some point in the near future, if Iraq is a stable peaceful democracy, the Headlines will read: 3 Sunni Holdouts still reject Democracy.

heh-heh

I bet they are all registered voters, too.

Posted by: Annie at November 2, 2005 02:52 PM

Where did they get all those signatures were they at the prisons did they visit the cemataries? or were they traveling aroung the world asking persons their opinions there isnt that many persons in the whole USA

Posted by: BIRDZILLA at November 2, 2005 04:37 PM

But that's the same 8 billion that died of bird flu last week because Bush did too little too late. So, do their signatures count? Since the law only allows dead people to vote Democrat, not sign petitions.

How is it that the Times doesn't realize it's presiding over its own funeral?

Posted by: jeff at November 2, 2005 11:22 PM

I'm a big fan of Gorillaz, but that video/song disappoints. Almost without fail, songs that involve a chorus of singing children wind up being seriously over rated.
