Apparently Kate is supposed to be completely silent through the actual event, and neither parent should speak to the child for the first few days. My guess is this is supposed to traumatize the child so that he/she is susceptible to cult brainwashing later in life. Posted by: TallDave at October 12, 2005 02:49 PM That is crazy. I mean, I totally believe that both parties should remain silent during (and shouldn't speak to each other for several days after) the shameful sexual/conception act itself, but during and after the birth? Ridiculous. Posted by: Hubris at October 12, 2005 03:00 PM Well, you can't risk imprinting any negative engrams on the thetans in the child's body. Because, that's just more work later. Posted by: Matt at October 12, 2005 05:43 PM Completely silent, with no drugs. Dear God, what has Joey gotten herself into?
