Question

As an urban self-defense item - too much?

(And really, it's incomplete without this. And this.)

Yes, but imagine the embarassment if you walk into a party and someone else is wearing a Pirate Belt Buckle with Throwing Star.

i would imagine this has other uses (note to self: add to wife's Christmas gift list along with Victoria's secret, etc...)

A friend in high school actually bought similar claws. Unless quality has drastically improved since the late 80's, I'd pass on them. Just because your hand will fit inside them doesn't mean that it will actually be comfortable.

I'll just stick with my bat'leth for home defense. A reminder to other bat'leth owners: really tall Comcast installers + bat'leth = 5" gash in ceiling.
