Blog is Still(!) Sleeping
Posted by Bill
But I'd like to mention - who hasn't seen "demons" in a crowd?
Every trip I've taken to Potomac Mills Outlet Mall has been like an extended cut of Jacob's Ladder, for example, with thousands of chittering, portly hellspawn buying flawed chinos at wholesale prices and ferociously gorging on Panda Express, the pearly lobster sauce alternately squirting and trickling from the slack corners of their demony maws. I'm just sayin'.

clothing at bargain prices always brings out the wrong kind of people.

Bill,
I'm still waiting on that mind-blowing, stupendously written and organized, and brain-bloggling moonbatology-speak-filled report of last weekend's activity in DC.
Posted by: Lornkanaga at September 26, 2005 09:02 AM
It's not going to happen; I'm retired.
Posted by: Bill from INDC at September 26, 2005 09:11 AM
Lotsa others have taken up Moonbattology, see links at Instapudit.
I see demons everywhere.
Posted by: rbj at September 26, 2005 12:44 PM
Bill, if you go all the way out to Potomac Mills you are naturally going to see a lot of demons. Remember the area in which you live, sir. Cheneystopholes lives here, as does Busheazlbub. The only way to not see demons is to quietly retire to your cellar and be very, very still.

Wow, the story took a surprising turn toward the end: "Results of alcohol and drug tests were pending."
Posted by: Hubris at September 26, 2005 03:55 PM
retired? it that official? so what is this then, your pension?
Posted by: jane at September 26, 2005 07:50 PM
Retired?
Look, man, I was sad to see the Blog Machine go too, but this is ridiculous.
Robbo in San Francisco, Bill retired.
I fear for Gordon's mental health.
Posted by: Vinnie at September 26, 2005 08:40 PM
Retired from studying moonbats. Hiatus from blogging.
Posted by: Bill from INDC at September 26, 2005 09:08 PM
FYI Bill, Dan Rather came out yesterday and said he's still deeply suspicious of you.
No, seriously.
Posted by: TallDave at September 27, 2005 11:15 AM
Oh, and Mary Mapes says you were "creating an echo chamber of outraged agreement."
Again, not kidding.
Posted by: TallDave at September 27, 2005 11:18 AM
Are we quitters?
No!
So we had a little slump this Summer. Are we going to just roll over and play dead?
No!
Is this the Bill who called a Kinkos in Texas and shook up the blogging World.?
Yes!
clap - clap - clap - clap
Are you going to suit up and get back in there?
HELL YES!
CLAP - CLAP - CLAP - CLAP
Now get out there and make us proud!!
CLAP - CLAP - CLAP - CLAP WHOOT! CHEER!

Shook up the blogging world indeed. I got Timesweek Magazine's blog of the year, you know. The fame, the riches, the groupies - it's just too much.
Posted by: Bill from INDC at September 27, 2005 11:14 PM
So, on a lighter note--excited about Serenity, Bill? What do you think the prospects of getting Firefly back on TV are?
Posted by: Adam at September 27, 2005 11:21 PM
Yeah, fairly excited. I think the prospects for getting Firefly on SciFi channel are good, given the recent success of Battlestar Galactaca.
Posted by: Bill from INDC at September 27, 2005 11:25 PM
The fame, the riches, the groupies - it's just too much.
Damn, Bill--I know you've been leaning sorta left lately, but what's with the Eddie Vedder angst?
;-)
::running away::
Posted by: Beth at September 28, 2005 02:03 AM
Bill, I just want you to know that I am willing to help you out. You can keep the fame, but I will shoulder the burden of the riches and the groupies.
Posted by: rbj at September 28, 2005 08:45 AM
Bill, I know what!
Create a perpetual carnival of trackbacks.
Then the masses will flock to your dark brooding blognothingness like it were sliced crack!

Damn, Bill--I know you've been leaning sorta left lately, but what's with the Eddie Vedder angst?
I wasn't being sarcastic - don't you read Timesweek Magazine? I was Blog of the Year, it was in the same edition as their "Brave Men of Jihad" fold-out calendar.
And don't get me started on the blog groupies. Ahhhhh ... nothing wilder than a nerdy gal wearing a "Peace Through Superior Firepower" t-shirt, building up a full head of steam raging against the liberal media.
On an amusing note, I will be speaking to a journalism class at the University of Richmond about citizen journalism next month, so there's something interesting.

Any prospect of you doing something similar over at George Mason sometime?
Posted by: Adam at September 28, 2005 06:03 PM
If a professor asks me, I suppose.
