*** A pleasant English ditty.

(Thanks to M Kusanagi)

*** I'm pretty ambivalent about rapidly rising oil prices. Partly because it serves as a hedge on inflation and rising interest rates, partly because I don't drive and partly because of this.

*** Dean Esmay defends Jay Rosen's right to shut down comments on his blog. Limits on a human individual's capacity to take abuse trump free speech absolutism on blogs.

*** Guest posting at Michelle Malkin's place, Brian Preston reiterates an important lesson from Vietnam. Paging Chuck Hagel and ...

*** ... Professor Bainbridge, who authors a frustrated conservative rant that cherrypicks the worst of selective leftist argumentation regarding our motives for war in Iraq. The Commissar found the post hard to disagree with, and I fired both barrels in his comments.

UPDATE: And one more:

*** Watching the series finale to Six Feet Under, I had the exact same thought.

RE: Free Speech on blogs.
You are correct. This is your house, we commenters are your guests. If we're rude to the host or misbehave you can declare us trespassers and throw us out.
Now, why is that so difficult for some people to understand?

Get back to the Moonbats, chief. You obviously need a semblance of a vacation. Go do a little point and shoot, then channel your inner Aussie dingo hunter.

After the 30th time you say that, it gets kind of stale. As I told you, I'm retired.

Repeat: NO MORE MOONBATS. That joke is over. Tired. Dead. Finito. Done.

OT, Not sure if your familiar with her, but Rightwingsparkle is celebrating her "Blogoversary"...

Bill - I'm sure she'd appreciate it if you'd go over and give her your best wishes (I hear she's a fan of yours)...

One teeny-tiny moonbat request:

Could you post links to your various research reports on your main page somewhere?

Fredo....

I'm not ambivalent; I just don't care. Gas prices go up immediately when oil jumps up, take forever to go back down, and since my gas needs never change, there's not a whole lot I can do about it when the prices change. I need to fill up regardless.

Hell I'm going to be driving 3000 miles (MT to San Diego) in the next two weeks and gas won't cost over $500. I think it's still a bargain for two people going down and three coming back. Road trip!!!
