Yikes
Posted by Bill Via Drudge: Veteran wire reporter Helen Thomas is vowing to 'kill herself' if Dick Cheney announces he is running for president. Question is, will she martyr herself for JIIIIIIIIIHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD when she does? What an obnoxious old curmudgeon she's become. Foxy as all get-out, though. Posted by Bill at July 28, 2005 03:39 PM | TrackBack (0) CommentsShe seems pretty uninformed, for a reporter. Cheney has made clear he wants no part of that, and his medical condition supports that. Posted by: JohnAnnArbor at July 28, 2005 04:01 PM I say kudos to her. I would fully support her effort. Posted by: Hans Mast at July 28, 2005 04:02 PM I just found that at Drudge and posted it, too. Hey, if nothing else, Cheney out to announce (even if he's not serious) just so that we could have the satisfaction of watching her end it all. But, we all know she'd pull a Baldwin or Altman but, boy, wouldn't it be fun to be McClellan at the press briefings and harass her about it every day: SCOTT: "Hey, Helen!! If we can't take you at your word, if you lack the commitment to follow through on your own stated intentions, how we can believe anything you've written?" HELEN: "I swear! I'll kill myself. Really. I will. Really." Hehehehe Posted by: vilmar at July 28, 2005 04:04 PM I guess she wants her 72 virgins. Posted by: Trudger at July 28, 2005 05:06 PM So whats the big deal? She's committed to her cause. I am sure she sets aside her personal feelings and biases and reports fairly and objectively. After all, she doesn't work for one of those propaganda machines like Fox. (rolling eyes...) Posted by: jmaster at July 28, 2005 06:04 PM "Curmudgeon", I think not. A blog I read this morning - sorry, can't remember which one - referred to Helen as an "old carbunkle". Much more apt, more correct and the mental picture is worth 10,000 words! Posted by: Becker at July 28, 2005 06:32 PM People get old, the 'inhibitor' portion of their brain fries out. Saw the same thing in my great aunt. Take her to a restaurant and lord help if someone really overweight walked in. "Ooooh! Look at that Fattie!" Knudging me and cacklin. Quite the embarrassment for everyone (except for 'cackles' herself.) Old people. They're kinda funny even when they're an embarrassment. Posted by: Ray Midge at July 28, 2005 07:31 PM And the down-side to this is... what, exactly? Posted by: Cybrludite at July 28, 2005 08:27 PM Elton John can sing at her funeral his old song that went "Think I'm Gionna Kill Myself -- A Little Bit Of Teenage Suicide" And you thought I was gonna say "Candle in the Wind" Naw, better yet, Napoleon XIV singing "They're Coming To Take Me Away (Ha Ha)" Posted by: Don Surber at July 28, 2005 10:07 PM I would imagine she'll shriek "Algore Akbar!" first. Posted by: TallDave at July 29, 2005 09:14 AM Run Dick, run. Posted by: rbj at July 29, 2005 09:59 AM ...a Clorox eyewash after that Photoshop & I'll be fine.
