The song reminds me of an old conversation I had many years ago. The gentlemen in question denied the theory of darwinian evolution because he did not want to descended from a monkey.

Problem one, is that he was mistating the theory darwinian evolution.

Two, no matter how this gentleman evolved, his particular acceptance, or lack thereof, had utterly no ability to alter that fact. whatever it may be. What was -- was, and wanting can not alter it in the least.

I remember singing that song in Vacation Bible School back when I was a wee tyke. It's been around a long time and is as catchy now as it was back then.
