Things have been so quiet around here lately, and I was feeling a bit ornery.

Someone must have transported some Canadian black squirrels into California, because they're quite common here. I'd never seen them before 1990 though when I moved here from Texas.

Well, I'll tell you this, dem black squirrels wouldn't last in Texas. My dad, for example, has bagged well over a hundred of the grey ones in the last couple years, and a black one would just be all that much easier a target. *poof* there goes any evolutionary advantage.
