Sweet.

(Via Flea)

John Hawkins Warning: The spaceships? Fake. Illustrated with computer animation, I believe.

You might warn Hawkins that the people ... they are actors.

That link doesn't work for me... is this another hoax?

I love sci-fi, but I think I'm getting a bit cynical about trailers ...

Unique vision of the future???

Umm...scruffy misfits guarding/delivering a mysterious woman and a looming battle? With cutsey dialogue?

Ok... I need more coffee.

BTW, via Jeff Harrell's site, here's a truly creepy trailer.

Yeah, the Serenity trailer was good, but cliche. And I wonder if what constitutes awesome entertainment on the little screen (IMO, very likeable, well-drawn characters and an intriguing serial plot) can translate to a two hour movie. I'm certain that I'll enjoy it, that much is for sure. But will it generate enough popular appeal to reup the series with folks that never watched the series in the first place? Dunno.

The other trailer was pretty wild, I agree.

I don't think the aim of the movie is necessarily to get a new teevee series. One of the actors claimed they have a three picture deal with Universal, so perhaps we'll have some sequels.

"Unique vision" = Western in space. With Chinese cursing.

I can't remember a trailer that isn't cliche, though. Unless it's a sequel -- then they can get creative.

Joss Whedon is an amazingly talented storyteller, and I'm confident that he'll do well his first time on the big screen.
