*** John Hawkins revisits Howard Dean quotes from the recent and not-so-recent past. There are some howlers there, though I can't quite sense any irony or stupidity in the quote related to gays, religion and civil unions (Perhaps I'm not right-wing enough to get it). My favorite? Dean's most recent shoe-swallowing:

"You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here." -- Howard Dean

Nice.

*** Val Prieto va a enseñar a los cubanos cómo se "blog" (You'll have to click for translation). And also read his wrenching post about saying goodbye to "Kiddo McFiddo:"

You love that cat. He is a badass. Not only did he survive for weeks as a kitten living in the root of a felled tree, but despite getting pawed around like a little stuffed doggy toy he can whup the dogs ass. He boxes with this big canine ball of puppy energy until he relents. The damn dog relents! And the cat sprawls on the floor in front of him and starts licking all that dog slobber off his fur. What a cat!

*** Chrenkoff isn't the only one rounding up positive news from Iraq:

Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities.

Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?

Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in primary school by mid October?

(Via Beautiful Atrocities)

*** And finally, notorious conservative gun-nut Cam Edwards outs everyone! Well, except ...

Dr.Jack Shepard; WHY I BECAME A BORN AGAIN REPUBLICAN! Dean's madness fits right it!

by Dr. Jack Shepard

Dr. Jack Shepard says; "It is madness that the Democratic Party just does not give Blacks and other minorities high positions in the Democratic Party or in past Democratic Administrations like President George W. Bush does!"

I am testimony; and I was very disappointed that not one of the Black Delegates at the Democratic Aboard Regional Caucuses and Global Convention in Paris got chosen to be a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles in August, 2000.

I, Jack Shepard was an elected delegate from "Democrats aboard of Italy to the Democrats Aboard Regional Caucuses and Global Convention in Paris on April 2, 2000.

Now that the election in over I fell much freer to discussion what happened to another delegate and myself from Democrats Aboard of Italy.

We both wished to vote for Mrs. Ricki Stevenson, a BLACK Democrat Aboard delegate from France; to be a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles in August.

We were told the deal was already made.

The delegates to the Democratic National Convention were already decided for us (before the vote) and if we did not vote for the list of candidate handed us we would never be chosen again to represent "Democrats Aboard of Italy" to any future Democrats Aboard Regional Caucuses and Global Convention.

I, Dr. Jack Shepard become a Born Again Republican, because the Democratic Party just does not give Blacks and other minorities high positions in the Democratic Party or in past Democratic Administrations like President George W. Bush does!

SOME OF MY STATEMENTS:
I can be quoted as saying, "I say the Democratic Party just does take the BLACK vote for grant it, without Doing anything to earn it!

I am testimony; and I was very disappointed that not one of the Black Delegates at the Democratic Aboard Regional Caucuses and Global Convention in Paris got chosen to be a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles in August, 2000.

If I had a greater say in the running of the Republican Party; I could attract many Black Americans to join the Republican Party, the original Party of Abe Lincoln, this would happen on my watch.

I, Dr. Jack Shepard WAS not pleased and I do not approve of the Democratic National Committee's PAST position to continue to criticize George W. Bush's election as the 43rd President of the United States as illegitimate.

The members of the Democratic Committee literally forced former Mayor Maynard Jackson of Atlanta who also wished to be Democratic National Chairman to throw his support to Mr. Terence McAuliffe by blocking his election.

Mr. Terence McAuliffe was chosen Chairman of the Democratic Committee only because he knows where and how to get money instead of former Mayor Maynard Jackson a much more qualified and experienced politician but BLACK candidate without these big money connections.

UNDER STATEMENTS AND SPEECHES

I can be quoted as saying, "I say the Democratic Party does take the BLACK vote for grant it.

I was very disappointed that not one of the Black Delegates at the Democratic Aboard Regional Caucuses and Global Convention in Paris got chosen to be a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles in August.

I apologized to Mrs. Stevenson after the vote when she was not chosen.

That I and another delegate from "Democrats Aboard of Italy" were forced by the Democratic Leaders of the Global Convention and Regional Caucus to vote their candidates really started me think what has the Democratic Party really become.

After my personal experiences with the selection process now used in the Democratic Party I find it no surprise that former Mayor Maynard Jackson a BLACK candidate for Chairman of the Democratic National Committee was forced to threw his support to Mr. Terence McAuliffe.

I consider Mr. Terence McAuliffe a hypocrite when he, Mr. Terence McAuliffe, "bluntly challenged the legitimacy of President George W. Bush's election and pledged to turn Democratic grievance over the results into a mobilizing force to win Congress next year and the White House in 2004." SORRY TERENCE YOU ALSO LOST THE WHITE HOUSE TO 2ND TERM PRESIDENT BUSH IN 2004 BY OVER 3 MILLION VOTES-

I, Jack Shepard ask Mr. Terence McAuliffe, WHO JUST LOSE HIS JOB LAST WEEK! when he says, "We will prove there is victory after denial" how do Mrs. Ricki Stevenson and former Mayor Maynard Jackson of Atlanta feel when they and many other BLACKS are know being denied and passed by for important position the Democratic Party.

Why does not Mr. Terence McAuliffe understand and conclude that the public wants to move past the ill will over the post-election maneuvering that settled the election. TERENCE CAN NOT FOOL ANYONE ANYMORE HE JUST GOT FIRED!

He and the Democratic Party must start to work with President Bush to unite our country and enable President Bush to be an effective leader especially with the very confusing and dangerous situation in the Middle East that President Clinton left for President Bush.

IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE DEMOCRATS WOULD NOT CHOOSE EVEN 1 BLACK DELEGATE FROM ANY WHERE IN THE WHOLE WORLD FROM ALL THE DEMOCRATS ABOARD IN THE LIVING ABOARD TO BE A DELEGATE TO L.A. IN AUGUST OF 2000 IF THEY REALLY REALLY CARED FOR EQUITY OR IF THEY REALLY CARED OR RESPECTED THE BLACK VOTERS OF AMERICA!

THAT IS WHY DR. JACK SHEPARD LEFT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO JOIN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY A REAL PARTY BASED ON THE EQUALITY OF ABE LINCOLN.

IN 2006 I, DR. JACK SHEPARD HOPE TO LEAD A MASSIVE EXODUS OF BLACK AND OTHER MINIORITIES TO JOIN THE REPUBLCAN PARTY.

WHERE THEY CAN BE REWARDED BY GETTING HIGH POSITIONS IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

THE NEXT REPUBLICAN ADMINISRATION IN 2008 WILL ALSO WIN THE WHITE HOUSE AND APPOINT MANY MINIORITY MEMBERS TO SENIOR POSITIONS IN GOVERNMENT; AS PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH HAS IN BOTH OF HIS ADMINISRATIONS
