Loose the Hounds
Posted by Bill Easongate is a new blog that's been set up to track and influence the maelstrom surrounding Eason Jordan's scandolous assertions that US troops have deliberately assassinated and tortured journalists. Check it out. UPDATE: Malkin begins to break this story open with a key eyewitness account: Just got off the phone with Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who spoke with me about Easongate. Rep. Frank was on the panel at Davos. Right. UPDATE: LaShawn Barber has another comprehensive round-up of Eason-related links. Posted by Bill at February 7, 2005 11:32 AM | TrackBack (2) CommentsWe need to stop calling every political dustup a "gate". From now on this should be called "Eason-quiddick". Posted by: WMD If I remember right, Eason Jordan is a foreign national who has claimed similar false atrocities while associated with CNN. CNN management may have several gnarly issues in questioning the way they may have corporately facilitated and protected Eason in what appears to constitute a continuing theme of gross fabrication offered publicly as a newsworthy fact. The degree to which CNN has acted, or failed to act, and to which CNN executives have or should have been involved seems an equally newsworthy matter. I am hopeful any improper conduct of CNN management and executive officers involved will also be held to account. After Rather and Mapes, CNN's potential role in ignoring, facilitating, ignoring again, then stonewalling the Eason Jordan claims of our military "targeting" journalists is particularly offensive. Posted by: willem Thanks for the link, Bill! Posted by: La_Shawn Barney Franks- my hero of the day, who woulda thunk it? But credit where credit's due: Great job Barney! WMD: "-Quiddick" excellent!
