I'm trying to decide if I'm happy about this or not. On one hand, I can only see this running the Dems into the ground and I could be excited about that. On the other hand, the Repubs need a little restraint themselves and without a viable party to hold them in, they'll get just as bad. On the third hand (if you're Zaphod Beeblebrox, it's no problem) will this mean we'll just see tons of loonies where a political party used to be or will Dean move center now that he's not running against Bush?
