Very Belated Congrats
Posted by Bill ... to Rosemary and Dean on the birth of their new son. UPDATE: Dean also adds another post about the skepticism surrounding the HIV-AIDS link. It seems that pure politics isn't the only subject matter that brings out the animated nasties: Some disputed the numbers. Some did so politely, some sneeringly. Despite the sneers, I went ahead and contacted Duesberg and Rasnick for sources, and within short order Rasnick (who compiled the figures originally for the paper) came up with a long list. I've been sitting on that list for over a week. Pull that trigger, buddy. Posted by Bill at January 26, 2005 08:43 AM | TrackBack (0) CommentsThe big problem with domestic HIV/AIDS is the adament refusal to treat it as a disease. Instead we treat HIV infection and AiDS symptoms as if they some sort of civil right. Africa is a different story. David Posted by: David I don't understand what you mean. Posted by: Bill from INDC Amazing that many refuse to accept a challenge to the received wisdom that HIV=AIDS. I haven't followed it closely enough, and don't have enough scientific background to make a decision one way or another, but any scientist, including doctors, have to be willing to accept reasonable challenges. Otherwise Science puts itself in the same place as the Roman Catholic Church vis-a-vis Galileo. Posted by: rbj Wasn't there some slight news a couple of weeks ago about a new drug that can cure AIDs? |
