Ok, Now It's Official
Posted by Bill Three strikes and you're out. In case you still had any doubts, Jonathan "Pajamas/Flood the Zone" Klein is a cocky dunce. Why else would he continue to say such stupid, stupid things? Hmmmmm. Maybe it's time to start looking into some of CNN's reporting ... a man who is that arrogant must greenlight some pretty porous product. Posted by Bill at January 14, 2005 12:06 PM | TrackBack (2) CommentsWell, his choice of the term "storytelling" is quite apt. Maybe I can't blame him for his ignorance of blogs--I'll admit I hadn't heard of an "[a]nchor-poet" before. Posted by: Hubris What's the jerk's email address? I'd like give him a piece of my mind. Posted by: erp Dunno. He's the new President of CNN, so go from there. Posted by: Bill from INDC Clearly, being on the inside of the cultural bubble of the media elite makes Mr. Klein infinitely closer to the real world than bloggers. After all, not being journalists who went through a rigorous university programs (read: brainwashing), how could a series of unrelated individuals living their lives and writing their isolated opinions possibly be living in the real world? As always, Mr. Klein remains the posterboy for media elitism. Posted by: Adam Gurri Just commenting in order to learn how to comment. If that makes any sense? Posted by: Bob Good lord, Klein's quotes read like parody. "In the end, the strength of the mainstream media is that it provides reporting that tries as hard as possible to be accurate and straight," he said. "And when somebody like a CBS makes a mistake, and publicly rectifies it and gets outside people studying it, it shows the strength, not the weakness, of the mainstream media."Yeah, Jonny-boy, that's some real world you live in. Sheesh. You just can't make up stuff like that. Posted by: Darleen I have a good friend up enough in the CNN food chain to be able to discuss blogging with the higher ups. He told me he has broached the subject with the "suits" and none wanted anything to do with the "new" media. The suits were not happy with the suggestion and haven't discussed it since. It's a shame. And that was before Klien came on board. Old habits die hard. Posted by: Erick-Woods Erickson |
