I Endorse This Column

Posted by Bill

Unfortunately, if Paris Hilton started a political blog, I'm sure that it would rocket straight to the top.

My favorite snippet?

Paris eagerly posed for a poster to tout Sean Combs' "Vote or Die" crusade during the recent presidential election, then didn't vote - or, for that matter, even register, according to public records obtained by Lowdown.

Let's revisit her PSA.

Ah, that's the stuff.

It's vote or die, Paris! We had a deal!

BTW, how does Leonardo DiCaprio rate being referred to as a "blue-chip movie star?"

I don't think it's his talent as an actor.

Hum...does that mean P. Diddy's gonna go after her?

Posted by: Willis C. [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 23, 2004 12:44 PM

Actually, didn't P Diddy apologize for the tone of his rhetoric during the election? he said something about needing a more constructie outlet for his power or something.

Anyway,I for one, am thankful that Paris didn't vote.

Paris is like a train wreck; you just can't help slowing down to look.

She definelty gets the (point and laugh) attention she deserves. Because she works, like, her butt off, like, yeah.

You diss Barney but you put up links to Paris. The latter may be slightly cuter, but Barney is the more intelligent one. More Barney, less Paris

Posted by: David [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 23, 2004 02:08 PM

Yeah, more Barney.

Well, to be fair, I was merely pointing out that Paris Hilton is a dumb, malicious whore.

Ah Bill, another thing I can agree with you on. Paris Hilton is a dumb, malicious whore.

Chris,

The DidMeister General did not so much apologize as reconsider his message. The comment I heard from him was somthing to the effect of "Maybe I should have been more non-partisan instead of saying we were going to vote Bush's ass out of office."

Now *that's* some damn good post-election analysis.

Posted by: John from WuzzaDem [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 23, 2004 04:52 PM

Voting is for peasants, not celebutantes. You have to wake up and get out of the house by some godawful hour, before--what is it in New York State--9pm or something?

And you have to do it in person. Can't even send the maid. Gasp.

Plus, you have to know what day the election is and also what day it is *today.* Sooo complicated, kinda like math and stuff.

Be nice to Paris. She's a great reminder that here in America, any a**hole can be rich and money's no match for simple decency.

(p.s.: Bill, love your blog. Keep up the good and always entertaining work!)

Now, if only everyone else will quit talking about the dumb, malicious whore...maybe she will just go away quietly. Somehow I doubt it, though.

Just this morning, I was laughing at that same column.

A few minutes ago I was laughing at your post.

Now, I can't stop laughing at Sean's comment.

Paris Hilton would be at home endorsing Hitler for Chancellor if she thought it would get her a smidgen more airplay.

What really disgusts me about Paris Hilton is that I've just wasted ANOTHER 3 minutes on her. The star system truly needs reform if a rich no-talent idiot can parlay a sex video into world-wide celebrity.

Posted by: Kevin Murphy [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 24, 2004 02:33 PM

Look at like this, Paris Hilton is modestly cute and very rich. In our culture that is all tnat is need to be a celebrity.

Posted by: David [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 25, 2004 06:07 PM

if you're going to talk about her, i insist that you at least give me the eye candy as well.

face it, you're forcing us to remember her. and she's only good to look at. she serves no other purpose.

Bill, I just read your comment on Ace's site. You wrote a screenplay? How about some details? Congratulations!

Posted by: Cranky Neocon [TypeKey Profile Page] at December 29, 2004 09:52 AM

Bill, I think you are right about a Paris Hilton blog. It would be very popular, at least for a while.
