Amen

I repeat, amen.

I'd be curious to see a response from Kevin Drum.

Why does anyone take Drum seriously? He's an Atrios who learned to wipe the froth off his lips, as far as I'm concerned.

He's the one, after all, who argued that Blair was lying about the size of Saddam's mass graves by citing a count of the number of bodies recovered/identified when Blair was referring to the total number.

No response from Mr. Drum yet on that one either.

Good read!

Fred Barnes nails folks like Drum, and why they don't get President Bush, in the 12/13 edition of The Weekly Standard.

I find it rather boring (but expected) that Drum would focus on something like the ancient events surrounding Robertson or Falwell. Yet ignore the loud rumbles currently coming from many groups in the 'Christian right'. I just received an email from one of those groups lamenting the recent selections made by President Bush, specifically calling them 'anti-life'.

Now I am one of the most devout around, a prolife Roman Catholic with the position: conception to natural death. Yet I have no problem with the Presidents selections and I don't worry that he has changed his strong prolife stance one bit. Instead I respect him more because he is looking beyond certain issues, considering ALL of the qualifications required; and then selecting what he feels is the best person for the job regardless of 'hot buttons'. He has proven to me, over and over, that he is not 'owned' by any group or single issue (and that fact pisses off the MSM).

Yes, I wish that Dr. Rice was prolife*, but she isn't, oh well. I can see all that she is, and have a deep respect for her achievements while still holding true to my beliefs.

*and in true redstate fashion, yes I do pray for her conversion...as I do for all Americans, even you Bill! :-)
