Posted by Bill Fox News calls the state of Ohio for Bush. UPDATE: 2:28 AM Silky Pony: "We've waited so long for this victory ... we can wait another night." Are they going to fight it? Posted by Bill at November 3, 2004 12:41 AM | TrackBack (1) CommentsYES! Woo! Posted by: Xoxotl at November 3, 2004 12:44 AM YYYEEEEEEHHHHHAAAAAAAAA Posted by: DC Republican at November 3, 2004 12:44 AM Looks like this election is about rapped up. :D Posted by: Ryan Rahn at November 3, 2004 12:47 AM After their reluctance to call FL, I was surprised by their OH call. Hope it holds. Brit seems less than fully confident. Posted by: Retread at November 3, 2004 12:56 AM On CNN just now James Carville said Bush won Ohio and essentially the race. Posted by: dorkafork at November 3, 2004 12:57 AM NBC just called it too... And Alaska... It's 269 for Bush if this holds... Anyone know a recipe for humble pie that I can whip up for my co-workers for tomorrow morning (which happens to be my birthday--this'll be a great way to celebrate). Posted by: Nathan at November 3, 2004 01:02 AM Check Drudge NOW. Flashing siren and "Bush Wins"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted by: Rusty Shackleford at November 3, 2004 01:03 AM Please, someone give me Michael Moore's telephone number.... Posted by: mt at November 3, 2004 01:05 AM First President ever to win reelection after losing the popular vote..... Posted by: mt at November 3, 2004 01:06 AM America, F*ck Yeah!!!!! Posted by: Rusty Shackleford at November 3, 2004 01:06 AM Wait until we can officially add New Mexico to the official list before partying too hard. Posted by: Rutherford the Brave at November 3, 2004 01:08 AM Rutherford....that's what the House of Representatives is for. Have no fear. Posted by: mt at November 3, 2004 01:21 AM CBS hasn't called it yet. According to The Corner, Dan Rather just said "We'd rather be last than wrong." So I guess he'll be breaking the big election story, just like he'll eventually crack memogate. Posted by: The Raving Atheist at November 3, 2004 01:40 AM The only thing cracking at CBS is Rather. It's fun to watch. Posted by: cheshirecat at November 3, 2004 02:21 AM "Kemo Sabe"---Dan Rather.
Posted by: cheshirecat at November 3, 2004 02:25 AM I admit it. I can't help myself. I've stayed up (stupidly) until the last morsel of bitter defeat dribbles off of Dan Rather's chin. It's now 2:21AM EST, and Dan-da-ANTI-man-Rather is stammering around about the "very confusing and complex situation" in Ohio, and how they're a network who is "last but wants to be right." But you're NOT right, Dan. Admit it. You're wrong... your Skerry man lost. NO more Mother Teraaaaaaahhhzza. No more government of the pollsters, by the pollsters, for the pollsters. Onward and upward now... from "global tests" to 'global testes." How delightful this whole evening has been. And topping it off... have you seen the TOTAL and ABSOLUTE repudiation of the Democrats nationwide? They've lost three confirmed Senate seats... with two more still open, and lost House seats as well. And this has come in the face of the most positive press bias for any presidential candidate in 70 years *on behalf of Skerry, and against Bush). And Bush and the republicans have still prevailed. How absolutely amazing. Can you say Moore R-E-P-U-D-I-A-T-I-O-N? Posted by: degrees_of_truth at November 3, 2004 02:33 AM Kerry just took Hawaii. Posted by: mshyde at November 3, 2004 02:42 AM And CBS reported it breathlessly, interupting an interview with a correspondant. Like Hawaii was hanging on a thread. Posted by: cheshirecat at November 3, 2004 02:43 AM I know, mt. I'm just saying, don't count your chickens and sh*t. But then again, we're looking at an all-you-can-eat fried chicken buffet later this week. :) I take it you caught John Jr.'s empty gesture about waiting one more night? Posted by: Rutherford the Brave at November 3, 2004 02:44 AM Democrats, uniters? Ha. Give it up. I'd rather have had Bush win bigger, but perhaps this is better because we get to expose more of the Democratic party inability to face reality. Posted by: Charlie at November 3, 2004 02:46 AM Channeling Phil Collins: "One more night... Posted by: cheshirecat at November 3, 2004 02:46 AM where, oh where is AS when he gets defeated? It is beautiful....four more years....four more years..... Love to hear from you.......AS..... Posted by: soccerdad at November 3, 2004 03:00 AM Whoa! Watch out! That pony boy 's a channeler, might just just conjure up some mo votes - how many dead folks' votes can he channel? Desperate days demand desperate ways! We're just laughing too hard down here in the St. James Infirmary for our own good health (at last)! Crack ain't this good! (Rather: "ED, hep me Ed, say it ain't so. You know the drill - we, er, that is, they gonna challenge the OH vote - got the layers flying up fron Fl now, so Bradley, just don't sell me out. Pony boy's ready to fight to the bitter end!!!!!! Waiting on Dan's arrivail down here at the St. James Infirmary - won't even need the straight jacket! Goat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Iran, Chirac, Bejing - your next!) Go Bush Go! Posted by: The Saint James Infirmary at November 3, 2004 05:19 AM The only thing better than this would be seeing Rather have a stroke live on camera--'scuse me while I step outside and do my "happy dance" between the porta johns.....
