Stress Relief (UPDATED)

Posted by Bill

I'm reposting this because if I find it timely, perhaps some of you will as well. Enjoy.

(Requires Quicktime)

UPDATE: Infidel Cowboy cleverly ties the lyrics back to politics.

Thirty years ago (OUCH) that was my favorite song off the album. Today, it is my son's favorite. Thanks for the link.

I just finished carving my W pumpkin...

Bill, based on the background (intro?) music, it sounds like Wish Your Were Here is leading into Shine on... pts 4-9 (per the orig LP). I'm guessing this is just part of a concert DVD - and if so, how is the rest - which I presume you've sean/heard? Back-woods Colorado is great, but there is lamentable dearth of knowledge of and access to many forms of entertainment.

Thanks, that brought back some fond memories of two concert tours.

I hope all is well (or as well as can be).

Sometimes you get to a point in your life and you realize that everything has lead up to a moment. I truly believe this is a moment for all of us. I won't say who I work for or exactly what I do, but I've had a unique opportunity to sit face to face with some very bad people and ask them, "Why?" Their reasoning is because this is who they are and what they were taught to believe and if given the chance, would step across the table and slit my throat.

We have a choice this Tuesday. I'm not saying vote this way or that way, all I'm stating is we have a choice. Based on my experience my choice was made a while back.

There is no going back! There is only one way to confront this and it is head on. The fight that began in Afghanistan, which moved to Iraq, will move again. Believe it! It has to because as has been stated, this is a GLOBAL problem, not a regional problem.

I have and will continue to do my part. My only suggestion at this point is choose wisely because more depends on this choice than anybody really understands.

From the only person on the face of the earth who doesn't know, who was that singing?

Posted by: erp at October 31, 2004 09:26 AM

David Gilmour of Pink Floyd singing. I believe this is from the Pulse concert video, no?

Posted by: infidel cowboy at October 31, 2004 10:49 AM

Good job, infidel cowboy; I've always thought that song was terribly applicable, especially now.

Wish I had better (read: any) flash/video editing skills. It needs a good montage video.

Posted by: Noah D at October 31, 2004 03:16 PM

Thanks, Noah. I hear ya on the flash/video editing skills. My first thought was also that this begs for a montage, but alas, that skillset is one that finds me lacking.
