Ringing Endorsements for Kerry

Posted by Bill

Beautiful Atrocities has a great round-up. My favorite:

Economist Jude Wanniski: I'm leaning toward Kerry because I prefer recession to imperialist war.

(Emphasis mine)

I think its an improvement for the big L Liberals/anti-Zionists at the Economist (that in the minority opposed the WoT from the beginning) to now actually come out with their names and don't hide behind the great liberal institution anymore, that I once thought the Economist was.

Just look what they have to say about the Al-Aksa intifada:

"Ariel Sharon’s visit to the Temple Mount in October 2000 sparked a second intifada (uprising)."

This position, their strange humor (see 'cartoon of the year 2003', unknown to me when I subscribed to their newspaper) and their often distasteful front pages helped me to understand months ago that they are untrustworthy at best.

I have great regrets to have spent money on them.

I like:
Timothy Noah, Slate: John Kerry is the least appealing candidate the Democrats have nominated for president in my lifetime.

There is a certain something lacking in those who are voting Kerry (and I'm not saying voting for Kerry). Ah, it is called enthusiasm. Granted, I'm not enthusiastic about Bush's domestic policy, but at least I know where he stands, and I am in favor of his aggressive foreign policy.

Wanniski has always been a nitwit.

imperialist War? You know you've hit rock bottom when you have to mine back issues of In These Times to support your candidate.

And the endorsements continue to come in.

"John Kerry is not going to be a great president, but at least he is wiser and less hateful than GW."

From one of the more important DNC-supporting lobbies.

puppetz:

The last line is from the most recent South Park. I don't hold to the "pick the worst of two evils" philosophy, personally, but it seemed to fit perfectly the views of the idiot I linked to.
