Light Blogging - Quick Links
Posted by Bill Light blogging today. A smattering of quick links to keep the natives happy: *** Silly campaign fun: Malkin rebuts the Kerry campaign's whinging about GOP flu shots and later whales on her favorite drum: Well, Teresa Heinz Kerry's subdued act didn't last long did it? Oh, who am I kidding - it's everyone's favorite drum. Bang away!
There was one small problem: the Times's claim was not true. Contrary to the Times's claim, Kerry's op-ed makes no argument that could possibly be interpreted as an argument for "tougher efforts to find and destroy terrorist organizations." The Times's claim was based on an outright falsehood. You can see this for yourself if you read the op-ed -- which I strongly encourage you to do. Sounds familiar.
... at least she could have returned the favor. I mean, Martha has needs too ... Steamy. I'll never look at pine needles the same way again.
Look on the bright side, Fidel... At least you have free health care! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I'm waiting for some Dem to say that THK's marriage to Kerry was a Karl Rove trick all those years ago... Posted by: Chrees at October 21, 2004 12:37 PM I hope a lot of folks saw Liz Cheney on O'Reilly yesterday. She is awesome! Calm and composed, she stuck long knives into Kedwards re comments about her sister, Mrs. Bush, Christopher Reeves, etc. We need to see much more of Ms. Cheney during the next 10 days. Posted by: The Old Coot at October 21, 2004 01:41 PM I did check out Protein Wisdom's Martha hype and found it wanting in two respects. 1) Martha is mind-bogglingly rich and anal to the furthest degree. I think she was sent to jail primarily for both those personal traits rather than any real proven guilt. (And, yes, I'll argue that with anyone else who followed her trial.) 2) I don't like class warfare when it comes from the Right anymore than I enjoy it from the Left. It emanates the same scent of decay from wherever it comes. 3)I steam-cleaned my kitchen today with my faithful http://www.sylvane.com/ladybug-xl-vapor-steam-cleaner.html which might make me a natural ally of Martha. I suppose I am in a way. I believe in cleanliness and style. I shudder to think what I might encounter in Protien Wisdom's kitchen or in our own Bill's. I do have confidence in Mrs. Hindrockets kitchen. I don't konw if she's ever bought Martha's magazine or watched her willingly on TV. I haven't. I just don't like it when the Feds sandbag someone. Posted by: Terry Mann at October 21, 2004 08:46 PM Terry Mann - If you can't laugh at Martha, you're not a red-blooded American. It's silliness, not ideologically relevant class warfare. And my kitchen IS a mess - biohazardous. Posted by: Bill from INDC at October 21, 2004 08:49 PM Bill, But the woman wasn't guilty. She tried almost immediately to take back an e-mail communication that wasn't even remotely insider trading. And then, came the shark-feeding Feds down on her perfectly straight and fabulously rich back. Don't misunderstand. I'm rather an anal-type myself about my homestead (although never on the same plane as Martha), but this conviction was way over the top - the manipulation by the SEC and DOJ of utter essensce class warfare.
Meanwhile, would you like me to ship my http://www.sylvane.com/ladybug-xl-vapor-steam-cleaner.html to you gratis? We are coming up on the flu season, Bill, and hygiene is the answer for those of us not entitled to shots.
