MOONBATS! MOONBATS! MOONBATS!
Posted by Bill
Regular INDC readers that are clamoring for moonbat coverage will love, and I mean LOVE this: The "How Berkeley Can You Be?" Parade WARNING: This is NOT SAFE FOR WORK. In fact, it may not be safe for anyone, anywhere, at any time. I'm typing from a shuddering fetal position after perusing the pictures of portly naked hippies and a transgendered metallic bunny. NAKED hippies. I commend the moonbatologist author for his stunningly brave work amidst the swarm. Look for INDC moonbat coverage in about 2-3 weeks. (Thanks to Rick Steele) UPDATE: This is also pretty damn funny. UPDATE: Jeremey at Pacetown decided to excerpt and host some of the safer images. Not nearly the full effect, but a couple of laughs that won't expose you to horribly unattractive nudity. Posted by Bill at October 1, 2004 02:27 PM | TrackBack (10) Commentswhy were those naked moonbats allowed to march in front of children? why weren't they arrested for public exposure, indecency and/or child endangerment/abuse? wtf is up with that? Posted by: fluke_boy at October 1, 2004 02:34 PM Because it's Berkeley, California, my friend. Public decenecy statutes rely on community standards of public decency. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at October 1, 2004 02:35 PM Woo! I want a cupcake car. However, I think it's probably against the law to drive with melted eyes. I will have to wait for my retinas to regenerate. Posted by: SarahW at October 1, 2004 02:54 PM LOL Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at October 1, 2004 02:54 PM - On second thought I think I'll just skip lunch today....maybe for the whole weekend... - This just has to represent the "bottom" of the protesting barrel... Posted by: Hunter at October 1, 2004 03:01 PM Such things don't bother them because they have a "log in their eye." (Ayn Rand [in a different comment] and the Bible all in one day! I wonder who will get the reference.) Deborah Bates Posted by: Deborah at October 1, 2004 03:01 PM - Deb - The only possible connection I can make between the moonbat brigade and the bible is: - "Forgive them Father they know not what they do...." Posted by: Hunter at October 1, 2004 03:04 PM [1] Well, to quote Oedipus as translated by PDQ Bach: "Aaaarrrggh! My eyes!!" [2] This single fact will ruin every meal I have today: 'Ms. Nature' has bikini tan lines. Ponder that, and weep. Posted by: ccwbass at October 1, 2004 03:10 PM Communists. Out in the wild, with bullhorn, book and pamphlets. Actual *Communists*. Incredible. I almost want to hear what their excuse is for the collapse of their ideology. Almost. Posted by: LarryConley at October 1, 2004 03:54 PM I saw this quite a while ago via LGF or something, and it's the image of the bunny and its not-so-private parts which keeps haunting me. Why? Why?? Public decenecy statutes rely on community standards of public decency. I'm sure doing something really indecent, like sporting a Bush/Cheney button, will get you locked up. Posted by: Angie Schultz at October 1, 2004 04:31 PM I dunno, but putting THOSE naked people in front of children will make the poor kiddies averse to nudity forever! Someone must photoshop Kerry onto the Pink Bunny Man, won't you? And onto the Vulva Rabbit? Posted by: Ferguson at October 1, 2004 04:39 PM I've seen that guy before! (the guy in a pink body suit on a unicycle) He rides around San Francisco a lot during lunch hour down in the Financial District. Say what you will, but I almost bust a gut every time I see him. His comedic value to the city is priceless. Before I do, I'm researching a couple of things. Sorry I haven't met your demand for expediency. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at October 1, 2004 05:38 PM Oh, no demand for expediency. I just came here to read your thoughts on the matter. I'll look for them with interest. Posted by: karl rove at October 1, 2004 05:42 PM Now where's my f'ing check? Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at October 1, 2004 05:44 PM I'll send it your way after I process all these KBR checks. Might take a spell...
Posted by: karl rove at October 1, 2004 05:47 PM Is there anything better than that moonbattery to reassure myself that a vote for Kerry really is what insane people want? No. No, there isn't. Fox News should be running shots of the "polyamory/Vote Kerry!" truck every hour, on the hour. Tee hee. Posted by: Kimberly at October 1, 2004 06:41 PM The 50s rocket car kicked ass. Does anyone know what the Klingons were protesting? Posted by: Ghost of a flea at October 1, 2004 07:39 PM Yes, the white imperialist Federation crusade against the holy motherland of the Beta Quadrant. Posted by: Nathan at October 1, 2004 08:03 PM Yeah I saw these guys on LGF a bit ago. The silver bunny guy is strangly disturbing I made sure I hurried past him, lest that image stick in my brain. I have no idea what he's supposed to be. Posted by: ctob at October 1, 2004 08:53 PM Sweet Jesus, what a freakshow. "Welcome to Sprokets. I'm your host Dieter. Vould you like to touch my monkey? Touch him! Love him! Liebe meine abst-monkey." Posted by: A.D. at October 1, 2004 09:22 PM Madness! MADNESS! Aaaaaggggghhhhh!!! Posted by: Big Brother at October 1, 2004 09:22 PM AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!! I'm particularly freaked out by the guy in the pink suit. That's just . . .bizarre. Posted by: B. Minich, PI at October 1, 2004 09:53 PM Gas+Oil=War? From the front seat of an SUV? shouldn't they be in a prius with Larry David? my head hurts. Posted by: Tom O'Malley at October 1, 2004 10:03 PM I must say that I like the nudists because Posted by: Average Joe at October 1, 2004 11:05 PM awesome. there's nothing i enjoy more than witnessing yuppie revolutionaries in action. Posted by: Violent Kitten at October 1, 2004 11:13 PM That guy with the "Get Ashcroft" sign has the tiniest penis I've ever seen, and I should know, afterall I've seen thous....er, um...I've seen two. Posted by: Bill from INDC at October 2, 2004 12:16 AM This post seems so beneath this site. What are you doing?! Posted by: gob at October 2, 2004 03:44 AM Out in the wild, with bullhorn, book and pamphlets. Actual *Communists*. I watched an anti-war protest in Vienna (the Austrian one, not the metro stop) with a Czech. Big contingent of communists, red flags, hammer and sickle, the works. I think I found it much funnier than he did. Hey, Bill, is the coverage you're promising going are you going to be of this weekend's IMF protest moonbatathon? --Jeff Posted by: Jeffrey Boulier at October 2, 2004 05:19 AM While these are genuine Moonbats, they're not "protesting" in the strictest sense of the word. This is actually an annual event that's been going on for several years. The title of the event--The "How Berkeley Can You Be?" Parade--is quite telling. How many other cities proudly define themselves by their most clearly deranged residents? By the way, the guy on the main page here is Pinkman. I lived in Berkeley for seven years (moved away the weekend before the 9/11 attacks--had I stayed thereafter, I probably wouldn't be allowed to use the sharp scissors anymore) and Pinkman, while a grade-a loony, was actually pretty entertaining. He rode around (quite skillfully) on a unicycle singing a song about how everyone has a color, and how they should pick a color and join him. He didn't hassle you for money or spout off on political causes. He was actually quite the showman. And quite insane. Posted by: Sean M. at October 2, 2004 05:42 AM About those URLs (story circulating the leftwing blogs)... It's obvious that the Demos are really, really, REALLY trying to find some large burning wildfire issue among conservative news sources/information sources, following the noticable impact that has been had upon the previously presumed high-toned position by CBS and the liberal media's credibility. So, any error or modest glitch by any conservative at this point will undoubtedly be seized upon by the leftwing and then fanned into a larger shadow puppet by them, much as they are doing about the first of the three Presidential debates. I just read a formal retraction by FOX with explanation about what took place (a parody piece written by an employee was printed in error, while it was never written for print, but was a joke piece intended for office amusement), but that'll also probably never pass most leftwingers, based upon my experience. ~They'll find the saucer on the White House lawn yet! They HAVE to!!~ Posted by: -S- at October 2, 2004 09:10 PM jmflynny -- I just noticed that too and was about to make a suitably snarky comment, so thank you for beating me to the punch. Do you think the animus toward the A.G. is actually penis envy? Is the A.G. unusually well hung? Errr -- maybe we shouldn't go there :-) Posted by: Lee Shore at October 3, 2004 04:05 AM THANK YOU for the picture of Pinkman. I grew up in the SF/Bay Area, graduated from Cal, lived in Berkeley/Oakland/SF until I moved to NYC 7 or so years ago. One thing I try to tell people here is that they don't know from weirdos. It's one area in which NYC falls far short when compared to SF and area. I first saw Pinkman over 10 years ago after a Cal football game. Have been a fan ever since. Happy to see he's still doing his schtick. Most everyone else in the photo essay just made me roll my eyes and want to scream "Get a decade! Stop living in the '60s!" I was sick of these people when I was at Cal in the '70s -- thirty years later and they haven't changed a bit. Yikes. Posted by: ivy at October 3, 2004 11:42 AM Am I the only person who doesn't have a problem with the nudity? I mean, sure these people don't have great bodies, but so what? Honestly, if I had kids, I'd rather have them looking at the nudists than the communists. Posted by: Farmer Joe at October 3, 2004 11:55 AM Anytime, Lee. Happy to oblige, but remember, I am utterly unqualified to assess the situation. As previously stated, I've only seen five with which to compare. Posted by: jmflynny at October 3, 2004 06:21 PM I'll have to be more careful about the links I follow at Baldilocks! Can we just put a large NON-see-through fence around Northern California!?! I grew up in Southern California, in the 60's, so I can't say as these pictures shock me, but why did some of us grow up, and others just grow stupider? Posted by: DagneyT at October 5, 2004 09:23 AM 4179 How can this all be as nice? Check out my site http://www.pai-gow-keno.com Posted by: pai gow at October 8, 2004 01:07 AM |
