Actually, I was surprised NBC mentioned not only that it was the Dems that introduced the bills, but that the military doesn't want the draft - and why.

That portion sounds fair to me, but I haven't seen the piece. And what about the background on the activist?

Contrarian argument: she's got to pick some candidate - does that invalidate her opinion? Need video!

It is amazing that the MSM dismisses the internet as a news source when it critized CBS and the Kerry campaign, but when the internet has an anti-Bush rumor, it is "ablaze."

I shall assume blogger must start thinking of phrases for what "NBC" actually stands for like we did for CBS(Caught By Superscript)

I love the blogosphere! Speaking of Bias check out the news.google.com site. They have a picture of a dead Palestinian with a baby next to his dead body. It's been up there for 2 full days. Anybody who uses google's news service everyday like me knows that having a story or picture up for more than a day is unheard of.

Granted, the story didn't START that way. I was ready to throw stuff at the tube by the time they got around to the counterpoint.

Compared to the rest of the crap NBC puts out, this was almost balanced.

If, I mean if... Bush used the draft, wouldn't he be the first "Republican" to do so since Lincoln? Dems did for WWI(?), WWII, Korea, Vietnam.
Any active drafts under the Repubs?

Speaking hypothetically since it ain't gonna happen, Bush would probably be the first to implement one since Lincoln. Draft was still on when Nixon was President. Not sure about draft under Eisenhower. If there was one, Truman probably started it (or continued it from WWII).
