Heh
Posted by Bill Here's something for the the crack reporters and amateur typeface analysts at CBS, the Boston Globe and the Daily Kos. Posted by Bill at September 18, 2004 08:22 PM | TrackBack (0) CommentsIt really staggers the imagination to accept the fact that anyone could still believe in the authenticity of these documents... Posted by: Another Thought at September 18, 2004 10:38 PM Of course, one not only has to believe that such a magic typewriter existed at the time, but also that this unique device somehow was in a National Guard office in Texas, and somehow was only used for 6 personal memos by someone who didn't type, but was never used by any other person, including the secretaries and pool typists, of this National Guard unit for any other document. For all other documents they defaulted to using their standard typewriter. Was she always a moonbat? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6030085/site/newsweek/ Sorry for the OT rant; I grew up reading Newsweek, and it shocks me how many highly unlikely DNC agitprop lines they now present as fact: "First, Bush needed political pull to land a coveted spot in the Texas Guard. Former Texas House speaker Ben Barnes, a Democrat, told Rather that he helped Bush at the request of a Bush family friend." No mention that Barnes is a hard-core partisan, signed an affidavit saying the above is untrue, and is contradicted on this matter by all other witnesses to what he alleges, including his own daughter. "Speculation centers on Bill Burkett, a retired Texas National Guard officer, who earlier this year said that he had overheard a conversation in the spring of 1997 about needing to "sanitize" Bush's Guard records. Bush was running for a second term as governor and anticipating a run for the presidency. Burkett said he later saw dozens of pages from Bush's file dumped in the trash." Again, no mention that this is another hard-core Dem partisan, this one with a personal vendetta againt Bush, who again is contradicted by every other witness. This is beyond poor reporting. This is a magazine beahving as a de facto 527 group.
Posted by: TallDave at September 19, 2004 12:11 AM Was she always a moonbat? As far as I know, yes. Posted by: Bill from INDC at September 19, 2004 12:19 AM Bill, if anything the past couple of weeks should have taught you not to make unsubstantiated allegations. Just what evidence do you have that the CBS, Boston Globe and Kos reporters are all on crack? Posted by: The Raving Atheist at September 19, 2004 12:59 AM Other than their behavior the past couple of weeks, that is. Posted by: The Raving Atheist at September 19, 2004 12:59 AM Super article here... Posted by: Mike at September 19, 2004 01:02 AM I used to watch McClaughlin Group quite a bit and yes Eleanor Clift has always been a moonbat. The mental gymnatics she would do to justify anything of the clinton admin was, well, jaw dropping and mind numbing. Posted by: ctob at September 19, 2004 01:25 AM Eleanor Clift is a twit and a bald faced liar. Not once in the few times I've watched McSreechum's group has she not told at least one lie. Posted by: mshyde at September 19, 2004 02:18 AM - Somebody excoriated ole rumpled stocking's Clift pretty good...I'll try to see if I can find the piece... - In the means time under the heading of "What the hell else can go wrong in the space of a week"...Rather accidently shoves a FOX cameraman into a door jam in the airport...smiling all the while....Some radio dude in seattle gets the axe for saying on the air that he and other CBS affiliates think that Rather should resign... - I checked out KOS diaries for the 15th and today...Seems those guys are about as good at standing by people as they are rabidly for them when their winning.....Latest position is that bunch of "bad guys" at CBS let them down.....Yeah...right - Latest atrocity from Iraq...Insurgents murder 4 Iraqi Kurds...Tell you what Mohammad ...You really don't want to get those Kurds mad at you....They're a tad bit stronger these days than when you gassed all their woman and kids... Posted by: Hunter at September 19, 2004 11:07 AM assuming you are gonna speak on todays WaPo Page 1: The WaPo story in print is actually more impressive than in the e-version. It starts as a "below the fold" page 1 story and then goes to a 2 FULL page spread later in the first section. For those who no longer read the WaPo or other MSM, section 1 is 90 percent ads. This article is 2 FULL Pages, only part of 1 of which is in the e-version. The rest are pictures of the key players on the text page and another FULL page that does a side-by-side document comparison that points to all of the problems between Real 70's Killian memos and these. The sort of Jury exhibit that I'm sure Beldar has built and used many a time. I think the article is a masterpiece. Pulitzer grade. also for your read, this excellent MSM review savaging Dan:
