Clean Up Your House

Okay, I don't always agree with some of the comments left at INDC (including the ones that I write), and I know that comment moderation can be time consuming, but let's look at some of the first comments on Atrios's post about Bob Dole:

Bob Dole is a bastard. Bob Dole is a whore. Bob Dole loves Viagra and Bob Dole loves him some good dick.

Fuck Bob Dole.

Just so America doesn't forget (and just so I don't since actually voted for that fucker) Bob Dole LOST the election in 1996.

The chimperor will LOSE the election in 2004.

How about another speech where Dole falls off the stage...Laughter.

Walk your parents to the roof of your garage and push them off, see how much they laugh.

My father got my mother pregnant when it became obvious that he wasn't going to get out of Viet Nam. Instead of honoring me for that, he has always felt that I was an undue burden that he was forced to bear.

I haven't talked to him in many years. I'd like to thank the swiftboat scumbags for bringing all those painful memories. One doesn't have to have served in Viet Nam to be profoundly affected by it.

non,

If it happened again, I would laugh again.

If it happened to the chimperor, I would tivo it and watch it everytime I felt blue.

Hoor. Dole's a hoor.

Nope. Funny. Bob Dole is NOT my fuckin' daddy. Neither are any other of these good, decent, flag lapel pin-wearing white men. 10-4, asshole?

Can we now finally stop kvelling over what a decent and amusing guy, ya know, for a Republican, Bob Dole is?

He has always been a nasty little fuck, he's married to the former blow job queen of Capitol Hill, and he gave a few blow jobs himself... to Dick Nixon... when he was Tricky's personal party attack dog, in those disgusting days.

He's no different from McCain: when push comes to shove, the bastard prick is a REPUBLICAN, along with everything THAT entails.

The sick part of this whole obscene mess? Your precious mass media now have a COVER for legitimizing the smear. With a "respectable" Leadership Figure like Bob Dole coming down firmly on the side of the Swift Boat Liars (who dubbed this schmuck "respectable", anyway??? Oh yeah. It was the mass media), they now get more mileage out of Rove's little Willie Horton 2004, right on up to Election Day.

Thanks, Bob, you one-armed whore. Die, old man.

Entertaining, no?

Atrios's post focuses on Bob Dole's political history against the Vietnam War, suggesting that this undermines his credibility when he criticizes Kerry's antiwar activities.

It simply blows my mind that Atrios is so crazy, stupid or disingenuous (or all three) that he can't distinguish the difference between criticism of Kerry's description of American soldiers as war criminals and criticism of the Vietnam War itself.

Soros has got to buy some higher quality talent.

That's one reason I actually somewhat enjoy going through the comments posted there and at other sites like DU. It's a peak into the bizarre and contradictory mind of these people... Bob Dole loves dick because he expresses an opinion? They sure make good use of that whole First Amendment thing they claim to love.

He can distinguish it just fine, I'm sure. He simply chooses not to. That's why there's not going to be peace between the left and the right for a long, long time.

Truly repellent stuff. I used to shrug off this crap, until the nutjobs took down the protest warrior website, published personal info of RNC delegates and PW members and threatened some bloggers.

Far more disturbing than the acts themselves is the info revealed at little green footballs' site: the perps did these felonies from computer labs at some expensive universities. They may be students, meaning they're going to be in the workforce in a couple of years, maybe in your company's IT department. Or they could be teachers, meaning there are some dangerous ideologues teaching your kids.

I loved this comment.

Waaaa! I hate my Daddy! Bush is like my Daddy! I hate him! hate him! hate him! I'm gonna hold my breath until the whole country turns blue! I will!

Exactly Angie.

okay, it was pretty hard to step over the pile of abandonment issues masquerading as intelligent dialogue, but the "die old man" filth was beyond repellant. the one is hopelessly myopic; the other is interested in hurting someone because they don't agree with you.

the cyber hijinks, both the posting kind and the site-trashing kind, remind me what a prism the net is. for some, it magnifies; for others, it distorts.

And these are the people who complain about how "racist" and "hateful" LGF comments are.

I was curious how the liberal-sphere would be protraiting the past weekends events. I stopped after DKos. Admittedly I'm fairly partisan - in the libertarian sense - Dems more so than Repubs irritate me. Yet even with that, I can accept an opposing point of view, especially if its logically and rationally set forth. What blows me away with the folks who populate Kos, Atrios, et al., is their constant complaint that the media isn't telling the storys the way they'd like. They dont want a free press, they want a Pravda.

Free speech is one thing.

This is bile.

I just wonder how many cases of psychedelic drugs the moonbats have received from George Soros over the past two years.

What's with all the Viagra, are they showing signs of penis envy?

Posted by: syn at August 23, 2004 10:47 PM

All the comments to that post are gone. Did someone complain?

Posted by: Lornkanaga at August 24, 2004 01:34 PM

Lornkanaga, I can see them just fine. Unfortunately.

Did you click into Comments or just see the (0) after the Comments and think there were none? That site's comments counter is always always always wrong.
