Who Needs Cialis? (UPDATED WITH BREAKING NEWS!)
Posted by Bill Not Ace. He's been sporting an erection for at least the last 48 hours. All it took was a little deluded rationalization from Andy Sullivan. In related news: Mr. Sullivan, I used to consider you one of the most eloquent defenders of the realm and perhaps the most relevant pundit in the 'sphere regarding the war on terror. It feels like no less than a betrayal that your highly emotional attachment to a personal issue has caused you to abandon your prioritization of an aggressive strategy against terrorism. Given your previous statements on the absolute vitality of the matter, everything that you have ever written and everything that you will ever write will have its credibility severely questioned. Changing your mind is one thing; offering up a series of half-baked rationalizations that ignore the heart of your decision is another matter altogether. Sincerely, Bill from INDC BREAKING UPDATE:
Oh my ...
Even the bears have turned on him ... shocking, just shocking. Posted by Bill at July 26, 2004 02:30 PM | TrackBack (0) CommentsForget about Sullivan. He's obviously free to vote for whoever he wants for whatever reason. Sulli from the get-go has always been a little bipolar. Even 2 years ago when he was a staunch hawk, despite his eloquence, you could tell that the bad news days made him go weak in the knees. And over the past 3 bloddy years, there have been some awful news days. At those times, during war, you need some perspective and some grim determination. but I learned not to read his blog at those times because he almost never had it - although occasionally he would post something good from his readers chiding him for his hand-wringing. But Sullivan was always wobbly. Posted by: John in Tokyo at July 26, 2004 06:17 PM Whatever. I stopped reading Sullivan when he tried to pitch the idea of raising gas taxes.
