Yes!
Posted by Bill My first piece of fan mail from the cartoon that ran in the LA Times: Date: 7/25/2004 15:17:08 -0500 What kind of moron are you? No wonder I had never heard of you until the Thanks for reading and taking the time to write, Ken! UPDATE: -- ANOTHER UPDATE: Update deleted. For the children. Posted by Bill at July 25, 2004 06:58 PM | TrackBack (1) CommentsThat was thoughtful of you to include Mr. Hancock's address. Now we can all be best friends! Posted by: Ghost of a flea at July 25, 2004 07:17 PM Oh ... oh, I didn't notice. If you'd like to thank Kent, go ahead. I thought that it was nice that he took the time to write. To quote Reno 9-11: "It's not like I come down to your job and tell you that you're going to Hell!" (paraphrased) Posted by: Bill from INDC at July 25, 2004 07:22 PM You know, I wish I had hate-mailers. It would spice up my life a bit. I had one early on, but he didn't stick around. Hey, I've got hate-mail envy! Btw, I've always preferred "I don't show up where you work and jump up and down on the bed" :) Posted by: Jon Henke at July 25, 2004 07:28 PM I had a lefty troll following me who wrote saying he reads me and James Taranto to keep abreast of extreme right-wing thought. Me and James Taranto! Yes! Posted by: Donnah at July 25, 2004 07:46 PM Ah, Florida Cracker and Taranto, obvious bastions of EXTREME right-wing thought. I have you topped. I had (have?) a stalker that told me that my essays about the America's potential reaction to another catostrophic terror attack paralleled nazi hate speech. Top that! Posted by: Bill from INDC at July 25, 2004 07:49 PM Nope, can't top that. I was pretty surprised at being identified as the hub of the VRWC. Guess he never met a Southern Democrat. Reading via Technorati his blogging about things like how everybody was born with a soul except Florida Cracker, etc, is pretty harsh as he doesn't even drive any traffic my way. You'd think someone would click for something like that... Being up there with Taranto was way cool, though. Posted by: Donnah at July 25, 2004 08:28 PM Just remember, Bill: it ain't gay if you don't kiss. Posted by: Jeff Harrell at July 25, 2004 09:01 PM Ken writes "You suck man." Not that there's anything wrong with that. Posted by: Scott R at July 25, 2004 09:44 PM Boston Credentials--- I am an overly ambitious young african-american student in the Boston area trying to gain access to the DNC. I would not mind passing off your first letter assuring credentials because I live here and it will cost me only $1.25 (T-money) if they say no. I would love to have them faxed to me if you still have them. I repeat, I am highly ambitious and when I am the next president of the United States I'll give you a 'shout out' Joy Posted by: J Njeri at July 25, 2004 09:58 PM I've had one paleocon write me hate mail, and that's about it. Sad, really. Maybe I should try posting my email address. Posted by: Chadster at July 26, 2004 02:09 AM Damn. The best I got was a Libertarian commentor trying to tell me that I'm not a real libertarian. Like, whatever, dude. Posted by: Farmer Joe at July 26, 2004 09:44 AM Um. What cartoon...? Dan Patterson Posted by: Dan Patterson at July 26, 2004 09:50 AM Dan, To save you the heavy lifting of scrolling down :-) I added a link. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 26, 2004 10:37 AM The only hate mail I have ever received was from my next door neighbor when I asked him to replace his rotting fence along our property line. Boring life I lead out here in suburbia...
