I Just Got This Cryptic E-mail
Posted by Bill Date: 7/23/2004 16:31:41 +0000 http://www.indcjournal.com/archives/000485.php
UPDATE: Could the e-mail be from these intrepid musicians? (Thanks to the comment from reader Tmarcell - It's actually pretty catchy - and it does sound like a slow motion version of Cum on Feel the Noize!)
Let's compare: Cum on feel The Noize (scroll a third of the page down and listen to the sample track) vs. Good ear! Lyrics: The President wants a war Congress wants a war The diplomats want a war We can build a bridge for peace We don't want a war Wow. I wrote my own version: Saddam Hussein wants a war Qusay wants a war The Mukhbarat wants a war We can build a JDAM for peace Hmmmm ... I guess that my talking points don't quite make for as smooth of a rhyme, huh? Posted by Bill at July 23, 2004 01:43 PM | TrackBack (3) CommentsReply with "Did you write this email?" Posted by: Sharp as a Marble at July 23, 2004 01:57 PM Juding from their song (http://www.bridgeforpeace.com/enter.html) and Mr. French's resume (http://www.peacecalgary.ca/view.php?id=0-6209) I would feel less fearful than I would sleepy. Seriously. Listen to the song touted on their site. Soporific socialism at its most numbing. Most disturbing of all, the song's verse sounds exactly like a slowed down version of "Cum on Feel the Noize"--I'm not kidding. Posted by: TMarcell at July 23, 2004 01:59 PM Duh - I didn't think of looking at "bridgeforpeace.com," because it's a hotmail address. I thought that it might be Mr. Berg. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 23, 2004 02:02 PM Thanks for the h/t! Their link to International A.N.S.W.E.R. probably indicates why they were a little rankled by you. Ok, the song was minimally catchy, but go back for the Hip-Hop version! No Blood for Oil, Daaaawg! Posted by: TMarcell at July 23, 2004 02:18 PM |
