Just Because It Feels So Right *
Posted by Bill
* Alternately titled, "Oh Those Poor Unwitting Brainwashed Killbots That Have Been Suckered by the Lies for Oiiiiil of Chimpy McShrubbenBush and His Hallibechtel Cronies" ... for my left-wing reader. UPDATE: WOW! Jeff Goldstein just found a picture of the very same guys holding up a different sign! And from the looks of it, they've read INDC's "Moonbats in the Mist." Awesome! Posted by Bill at July 22, 2004 03:04 PM | TrackBack (3) CommentsAmen to that. Posted by: Ghost of a flea at July 22, 2004 03:50 PM You misspelled "Bushitler" in your alternate title. Posted by: Farmer Joe at July 22, 2004 04:14 PM lol - you actually made me go back and reread it ... Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 22, 2004 04:22 PM ahh.. the sweet bliss of someone else putting words in other's mouths. Posted by: Ben at July 22, 2004 05:01 PM not sure I follow you, Ben ... doesn't look photoshopped to me ... Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 22, 2004 05:08 PM "Oh Those Poor Unwitting Brainwashed Killbots That Have Been Suckered by the Lies for Oiiiiil of Chimpy McShrubbenBush and His Hallibechtel Cronies" I was under the assumption that "left-wing" readers would prefer this title over the other. I thought the pun in the original title was witty. "Just because it feel's right" Posted by: Ben at July 22, 2004 05:19 PM Damn, Bill, convert that file to a JPG - it's almost 1MB in size! Or I can do it later on if you don't have the software for it. Posted by: andy at July 22, 2004 05:24 PM It's a photoshop! It's a photoshop! I hear the left-wing mantra already. Posted by: Mark at July 23, 2004 09:31 AM Mark the only thing you hear is what you want to hear. Posted by: Ben at July 23, 2004 10:59 AM Hey Ben, can you be a little less cryptic and flesh out your insults? So that I may proceed to dismantle them? Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 23, 2004 11:09 AM And if it makes you feel more comfortable, I'll say that the alternate quote applies to Democratic Underground liberals, not the sane, old-fashioned liberals. By the way, those are in mighty short order these days, aren't they? Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 23, 2004 11:38 AM I think sane people, in general, are in short order these days. I was being honest about the Pun you made in the original header, not insulting. Least I think you meant the pun. The only thing that can be near an insult would be me saying "mark you hear what you want to hear" Meaning he wants to hear liberals get up in arms about the picture saying it was photoshopped (which most likely he was joking). I'd like to think most people would see it and move on as 2 marines saying "f MM go bush" Posted by: Ben at July 23, 2004 06:27 PM Thanks for the context. I'd like to think as well, but ... have you taken a look at the Democratic Underground lately? INDY media forum? Daily Kos discussion threads? Atrios? Even if a joke, it's a legit call. The only sane popular media outlet that will admit liberal bias that seems sane is The New Republic, and I haven't seen their discussion forums (if they have any). Posted by: Bill from INDC at July 23, 2004 09:00 PM I wonder if these guys actually saw F9/11, or if they are just parroting what they've been told. Of course, if they held a sign that said "Bush is a Wanker", then they'd be court martialed. So I guess it's no surprise that the imagery is a little one-sided. Posted by: Ryoko at July 27, 2004 02:11 AM you fcukin prick, the pics a photoshop, and the other one you link to is as well. look at the position of the guys' hands, exactly the same yet here you go liberal media, liberal media get a grip, hiding behind vitriol doesn't disguise your lack of intelligence. if you can't even critically analyze this rubbish, what chance have you got of being able to form a considered opinion on current affairs that's right - none Posted by: michael at July 27, 2004 05:29 AM Hey Michael, What's really amazing is the fact that you are so damn stupid that you don't get the fact that I'm making a joke, and that you actually think that those are TWO SEPARATE PICTURES. I think that you may be the one with the critical analysis problems ... thanks for playing! Posted by: Bill from INDC at July 27, 2004 07:57 AM ryoko - I didn't see F 9-11, because I refuse to support it. But I can read about it, and I suggest that you do as well: http://www.davekopel.com/Terror/Fiftysix-Deceits-in-Fahrenheit-911.htm Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 27, 2004 10:38 AM ***I didn't see F 9-11, because I refuse to support it. But I can read about it, and I suggest that you do as well:*** Well there you go. You've taken the easy way out. Instead of taking the effort to see the movie and do a little research yourself, you've decided to let someone form your opinions for you. This is why the libs have labeled many of the Bush supporters as "sheep". You don't have to 'support' the movie. You can download a copy for free with Moore's blessing. Incidently, I have read some of the accusations made by some of the Moore hate sites. I have also read Moore's rebuttals to many of the charges. I'm not a big fan of Moore, but he has done his homework on this and seems to be fully prepared to defend himself. I would like to see one of his detractors face him in an open debate and make either side either put up or shut up. Finally, I might point out that even though Bush is being promoted as a conservative, he really isn't -- at least not in the traditional sense. Conservatives believe in small government, fiscal restraint, and state rights. Bush has failed miserably on all counts. For that reason and more, I won't vote for him again. He needs to go. Posted by: Ryoko at July 27, 2004 11:16 AM Ryoko, I'm not going to address your Bush points, but "You've taken the easy way out. Instead of taking the effort to see the movie and do a little research yourself" You are missing teh point. I refuse to put money in his pockets. When I find a decent free download, I will watch it. Reading thorough deconstructions of Moore's work suffice in many ways. Moore has NOT done his homework. read that link I posted. just one of his assertions, that the war in Afghanistan was fought for a UnoCal pipeline, has been factually disproven by dozens of researchers, in addition to being a ludicrous, paranoid attempt at discourse. Listen my friend, there are many left-wing argunments, or anti-war arguments, that can be made by many intelligent, honest people, but Michael moore is not making them. This is not about disagreement; it's about dishonesty. Don't be lazy, read the link. And unlike F 9-11, it's free. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 27, 2004 11:25 AM |
