Hold the Phone
Posted by Bill Would you believe, that after reviewing the applications and sites of the 60 some-odd bloggers that applied, the Dems issued me credentials for the convention? That's funny. I don't think I'm going to go; at this stage in the game, travel expenses are outrageous. UPDATE: Working on it. ANOTHER UPDATE: Had made travel arrangements, but ... Posted by Bill at July 6, 2004 10:26 PM | TrackBack (3) CommentsOh, no! You gotta go! The entertainment value would be, well, priceless! Sounds like a MasterCard commercial. Plane tickets to Democratic convention? $250 I'm in for $25. Start a fund raiser. John Collins Posted by: John Collins at July 6, 2004 10:59 PM I can't contribute cash, but we could have a bake sale. I make decent brownies. Brownies out of a box, granted, but nobody has to know that. Seriously, Bill, if anybody deserves to cover the conventions, it's you. And I'm including Dan Rather when I say that. Posted by: Jeff Harrell at July 6, 2004 11:15 PM Hey, I could toss in a couple of bucks. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzze? The moonbattery alone would be worth it! Press credentials? You could have a really good time.......... Anne Posted by: Annette at July 6, 2004 11:36 PM who will identify the subspecies of flora and fauna that is the galapagos convention? Posted by: frendlydude2k at July 7, 2004 12:22 AM Sounds like a moonbat's heaven to me. If you don't go you will forever kick yourself. Posted by: Marc at July 7, 2004 04:34 AM I'm in for $25 Posted by: El Jefe at July 7, 2004 10:16 AM Well the Dems are showing some good sense in selecting INDC, now I'm getting a little worried. Posted by: Jane at July 7, 2004 10:45 AM Take a train up there... stay at the Holiday Inn in Braintree... rent a Ford Focus... park it at the airport and take a cab to the convention. I don't want to hear any more excuses about how much it's gonna cost. You can get it done on the cheap if you try. Posted by: Iraqi Intelligence at July 7, 2004 11:21 AM Dont you know anyone in Boston who can help? You must go...the comedy will literally write itself. Posted by: The Backer at July 7, 2004 12:13 PM I've burned all of my Boston bridges ... actually, I didn't just burn them, I vaporized them in a nuclear explosion. And Jane, the Dems aren't showing that much sense by inviting me. But whatever, I'll go. Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 7, 2004 12:24 PM Your actual interviews and reporting, your location, your traffic and your and general civility probably set you apart. You sure you don't want to go? Posted by: SarahW at July 7, 2004 12:58 PM I have a couple of Red Sox fans who are seriously needing to cover their bets with me from last week's Yankee blowout. You got a problem sleeping on a stranger's couch? Posted by: TC-LeatherPenguin at July 7, 2004 02:31 PM maybe - I'm working a couple of my own angles - where do they live? Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at July 7, 2004 02:46 PM Bill, would you be okay with staying in an actual moonbat sanctuary? I've got MoveOn on the phone digging for places, or check out http://www.gothotel.com/democratic_convention_pol.html. In any case, I'm good for $25. You must be there! Posted by: TMarcell at July 7, 2004 03:19 PM Go to the convention, Bill! I'll chip in, if you want. I'll shake my readers down too. Just say the word. Posted by: Puddle Pirate at July 7, 2004 03:33 PM The way they've been complaining about the convention screwing up traffic, I'd say somewhere close. I'll get details. Posted by: TC-LeatherPenguin at July 7, 2004 04:28 PM I'm good for $ 25. The reporting will be priceless and more accurate than you would get most any other place! Posted by: mcat at July 8, 2004 12:35 AM How is it that Wizbang is updating your DNC pass before you do? Posted by: El Jefe at July 8, 2004 08:03 AM And the Leather Penguin as well!
