The Boston Herald Goes Feral
Posted by Bill ... on Al Gore. And this man - who apparently has so much disdain for the nature of the American people - wanted to be elected to lead it? Wow. I can't believe such unequivocal, common-sense smack-down is coming from the editorial staff of a major mainstream newspaper. It gives one hope. (Via the Corner) Posted by Bill at May 28, 2004 10:03 AM | TrackBack (4) CommentsI'm...stunned. Posted by: Boyd at May 28, 2004 10:25 AM The Herald is a Murdoch paper, for whatever that matters. Posted by: Dr. Kate at May 28, 2004 10:44 AM Oh, I see. Not so strange then. I'm not very familiar with Boston's newspapers. I made a incorrect assumption. Posted by: Boyd at May 28, 2004 10:59 AM Still, strong words, eh? Not on a blog? Posted by: Bill from INDC Journal at May 28, 2004 11:04 AM Must point out, though, that the NYTimes-owned Globe had a similar editorial today, though Web-only. Posted by: Dr. Kate at May 28, 2004 11:06 AM My local paper (the Press-Enterprise, out here in California) had a similar editorial line today (they're owned by Belo, which I don't think is Murdoch-owned.) Their opening line, if I recall correctly, was, "Thank God for the Electoral College." (Then they went onto the usual bit about how disgraceful his screaming was.) Of course, this seems to be his new thing. The Dean endorsement seems to have driven him a little wild, I guess. He pulled something similar back during the primaries. Posted by: B at May 28, 2004 03:48 PM Ahh... Leave Al alone. The poor guy has obviously been gazing at too many bar codes and it has scrambled his bio-mechanical innards. Normally associated with a static electricity jolt, it appears all the unused Dean campaign posters (with mandatory bar codes) Gore has been sleeping with has sent him into previously unknown droid territory.
