Gratuitous Olsen Twins Blogging
Posted by Bill Jeff at the Shape of Days notices an ad that ... well, just go look at it. I love the banana shirt. I thought the people with the "Olsens-turn-18" countdowns were pervs, but the California Milk Processor Board? Posted by Bill at April 27, 2004 02:56 PM | TrackBack (3) CommentsYes, but I never really understood the whole milk mustache thing. I mean, I know milk mustaches from years and years of late night sessions with Orioles and/or Fig Newtons and THOSE are not milk mustaches. Posted by: Jim H at April 27, 2004 08:28 PM I'm not sure they're supposed to be milk mustaches. They're supposed to be evocative of milk mustaches, yes, but of other things, too, I think. A few years ago I saw an ad for a jeweler or something. It featured a photograph of a very pretty woman, framed from just above her nipples to her earlobes. She was wearing a necklace of diamonds and tiny pearls on a very thing silver chain. The way the shot was posed, and the way the necklace was designed, you knew damn well it was intended to be reminiscent of something entirely otherwise. I'm not normally a perv, but man did that ad make me want to... well, buying jewelry was on the list, but it definitely wasn't at the top. Posted by: Jeff Harrell at April 27, 2004 10:48 PM ... the only thing it reminds me of is some idiot spreading that chalky drink they make you drink before you get a stomach x-ray on their upper lips. My point is that the Milk industry is pretty dumb if they think this is going to make us drink their lactose-laden liquid libations, cookies or not. Posted by: Jim H at April 27, 2004 11:12 PM Maybe that mustache isn't milk, but is of something else entirely. Besides, they're too flat-chested to look really good. Posted by: James Sloan at April 28, 2004 03:22 PM nice pic Posted by: mlah at April 28, 2004 04:38 PM With the above discussion in mind...I am bothered by the fact that it isn't only attractive young ladies who have the "honor" of being in the milk photo shoots. But I guess that if sex sells, then straight sex only sells to the straight...Hmmm Posted by: Rick at April 29, 2004 06:14 AM Uh, Rick, where have you been for the mass marketing of lesbianism to straight men and women? I was half expecting to see a following shot of the Olsens making out ferrchrissakes ... Gay male sex is less of a draw, but hey, y'all can't have everything. Posted by: Bill from INDC at April 29, 2004 08:25 AM Jim H, please tell me you meant 'Oreos' and not 'Orioles.' That's an entirely different mental picture. Posted by: Chris at April 29, 2004 10:13 AM Do you realize HOW many people have had their pictures taken with the milk mustache? Both male and female. They have had the whole ugly cast of "Everybody hates...uh Loves Raymond" with their upper lips milk-malted. (and may I say how utterly UN-appealing Ray Raymono is, especially when simpering to his mother) SO how exactly are these ads sexual? Is there perhaps something to your interest in the Olsen twins? I think it's interesting that nobody objected to the "inference" of Garfield with a milk mustache (oooh....where's he been?.....) But these two young attractive girls are suddenly sparking all of these MEN to discuss....Interesting... Posted by: emi at April 29, 2004 08:23 PM |
