Someone Dropped the Ball
Posted by Bill The need to assign blame for the elevated levels of lead in the District drinking water grows, as the Washington Post reveals that a group of high school students discovered lead contamination five years ago. I don't generally expect too much from government, but lead-free drinking water would be a definite bonus. On a side note, the WashPo's coverage of this strikes me as what constitutes some of the best examples of everyday journalism - the dogged pursuit of a public interest/safety issue. Giddyup.
